About me
Bonnie Rose Hough is a consultant for courts and legal services on access to justice issues. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Access to Justice Network. She recently retired as a Principal Managing Attorney for the Judicial Council of California’s Center for Families, Children & the Courts (CFCC) where she oversaw the Access to Justice and Self Help, Family Law and Domestic Violence Unit. Bonnie led the development of the self-help center program in California where every county now has a court-based, attorney-supervised self-help center. She also oversaw funding for legal aid self-help programs and has reviewed and evaluated over 100 different self-help models. Her talented team developed the California Court's Self-Help website, https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/ and a wide variety of document assembly programs and other technology projects designed to help the public navigate their cases and support the professionals who assist them. She lives on a houseboat in Sausalito and enjoys traveling the world.
