About me
Dave Caraway is a self-represented litigant and technologist. Dave organizes the OpenCourts project, a volunteer-run project dedicated to making court data accessible. He brings twenty years of experience leading software teams and previously served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow on Data.gov, the federal government’s open‑data platform. Dave was inspired to improve the legal system after experiencing years of systemic ethical and procedural failures in his father's estate case. That journey led him to apply data-driven engineering principles to measure and improve court performance. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
