About me
Dr. Jayme Walters is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work and the Executive Director of the Transforming Communities Institute (TCI) at Utah State University (USU). With two decades of experience, Dr. Walters’s research and solution-building efforts center on helping communities and nonprofits build capacity and address urgent social issues that affect residents' well-being and dignity. Over the past three years, she has collaborated with partners to develop and implement USU’s Community Justice Advocate program, which trains human service professionals to provide limited-scope legal assistance on debt collection challenges.
