About me
Melissa Lahey serves as Justice Coordinator for the Appellate Division, Third Department in the New York State Unified Court System where she focuses on advancing access to justice, particularly in rural communities. She works on initiatives related to civic education, community outreach, and equal justice, and collaborates with partners across the state to expand legal access and engagement. Prior to joining the New York courts, Melissa spent ten years as a court administrator in Maryland, where her work included developing programs to address barriers faced by self-represented litigants. She is a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management.
