About me
Nancy Drane has served as Executive Director of the D.C. Access to Justice Commission since 2016, leading efforts to expand access to civil legal help for District residents. She previously spent 13 years at the Children’s Law Center, representing children and families and later directing training and pro bono initiatives. Nancy serves on the boards of the Washington Council of Lawyers and DC Refers. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and Boston College, she began her career as a teacher and nonprofit administrator in Chicago and later clerked for the U.S. District Court in Hartford, Connecticut.
