Nathanael Player is an assistant professor of professional practice at Utah State University, where he teaches social workers and allied professionals to practice law as Community Justice Advocates. Previously he served as vice chair of Utah's Regulatory Sandbox oversight board and as director of the Utah State Courts' Self-Help Center and Law Library, expanding services and advancing bilingual court form reforms. He also taught Poverty Law and Social Justice at S.J. Quinney College of Law. Before that, he represented low-income tenants facing eviction in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., managing eleven attorneys, establishing a trial program, and documenting the results.
